The Squeeze vase from the Orrefors glassworks has a stylish and functional shape. Stylish object with sensual movement and almost dance like effect. The cheerful fluid design keeps a bouquet of flowers in place. Squeeze was designed by Lena Bergström in the 1997 and re-released 2020 it has received Excellent Swedish Design Award.

While working on another design, Lena Bergström lost control of the heated, viscous glass, resulting in an asymmetrical inward bend on the surface. Inspired by her mistake, Bergström designed Squeeze. The “squeezed” dents interrupt the symmetry, while simultaneously serving a clear function: flowers placed inside are neatly held together rather than spread out, even those with only a few stems. Squeeze embraces both its content and its recipient with a feeling of instant belonging.
