Lena has created "Planets" with the idea that each sculpture should be as unique and beautiful as we humans. "We all come from the same egg, with different contents, and then we are polished into different characters. We become our own little planets," says Lena Bergström.
Here Lena Bergström explores the traditional technique of cutting, giving it a new contemporary dimension. The outer surface of the piece has been all over cut in a stretched leaf like pattern.
Lena Bergström is one of the leading designers at Kosta Boda and Orrefors, Sweden. She is a successful designer and has received numerous public commissions and has won Excellent Swedish Design awards for six of her glass collections.
