Crackle Vase small-pink

Crackle defies all preconceptions and makes a glassblower's nightmare – cracked glass – its raison d'être. Here it's used to give the object beauty and character.

The mould is dug out of clay by hand, and the cracked surface is formed using an ancient technique where hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The result is a series of objects whose expression changes depending on perspective and distance, reminiscent of sculptures made of coloured ice.

Crackle by Kosta Boda was launched in 2020 and consists of vases and a bowl, all mouth-blown in Kosta.
