- To apply a patina an artist reheats the bronze sculpture using a roofer's torch or to a temperature over 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Chemicals are then applied with a brush or spray bottle. Once the desired colour is achieved the sculpture is rinsed with cold water to stop the chemical reaction. Different chemicals react with the bronze to achieve different colours.

Zyga’s work, both in bronze and ceramic, is celebratory of the human form; mysterious in the abstract use of symbols; and haunting with an aura of a dream-like, imagined world.
