Peter Layton draws inspiration from snow settling delicately on tree branches, silhouetted against a pale grey or blue sky. Each twig appears edged with crisp white snow, creating striking lacy patterns and layered textures, beautifully interpreted in glass.
The Glacier collection feature swirling organic patterns in layers of vibrant turquoise, white, and occasionally black reflecting the dynamic flow of snow over nature’s contours. Layton achieves this painterly texture through a skilled process of layering and etching multiple colours while the glass is molten
